Our licensed massage therapists provide therapeutic massage to suit the health needs of our patients.
We provide different types of massage therapy.
A Swedish massage can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on what our therapists want to achieve.
If you want deeper work and can tolerate more pressure, even momentary discomfort, to get relief from muscle pain, it's better to book a deep tissue massage, which is another form of Swedish massage.
Our massage therapists focus on the special needs of the expectant mother, and will take extra care to make sure your body gets the cushioning, support and position it needs.
Important: Drink a lot of water after a deep tissue massage to help flush lactic acid out of the tissues and to avoid feeling sore the next day.
If you still feel some soreness the following day even if you drank water, it is an indication that a lot of waste products were flushed out of the tissues. It should pass within a day or so.
Aromatherapy massage is particularly suited to conditions involving stress or improving emotionally-related conditions.
In addition to massage oil or lotion, our massage therapists use highly concentrated plant oils that impact the nervous system and hormones.
When inhaled, these essential oils affect heart rate, stress level, blood pressure, breathing, memory, digestion, and the immune system.
Their healing properties are many; some calming some energizing.
